The Karvar is a truly traditional Indian kilim rug, both in its making and typical Central Asian design. Handloomed fabrics are made with thick threads and skilfully woven using a tool of the same name. The 80% wool and 20% cotton mix make for a resilient rug, remaining soft to the touch. The intricate pattern and warm shades are of the kind traded by merchants on the ancient Silk Road.

Raspberry/plum tones are highlighted with pale gold, light blue and white contrasts. Finished with fringed edging to the shorter sides, this rug is beautifully bohemian, classically cultural.
